OH Canada Indeed
April 30, 2026 2:28 pmWhat a beautiful thing to witness! At Game 5 of the series between Buffalo and Boston, Cami Clune took the microphone to sing the Canadian anthem when her mic cut out. That’s when fans at keyBank Center started singing. Not their anthem but they did it anyway. Instead of letting things fall apart, the crowd stepping in and finished it together – turning what could have been a really awkward moment into one or respect, pride and unity.
Cami later said on social media it was a “crazy but cool moment” and thanked fans for singing along.
Buffalo is the only NHL team to play both national anthems before home games, regardless of opponent, a tradition tied to its proximity — about eight kilometres — to the border and a strong Canadian fan base.
The Bruins won 2-1 in overtime to avoid elimination and cut the Sabres’ series lead to 3-2
Game 6 goes Friday at TD Garden in Boston.
