Oasis Cuts Dynamic Pricing

As a result of technical issues and fan outrage during the UK ticket sales, Oasis has chosen to abandon dynamic pricing for their next North American tour. Due to Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing strategy, over 10 million people attempted to purchase tickets during the UK debut, which caused some ticket prices to more than double. Due to these serious problems brought on by the spike in demand, Ticketmaster’s business methods are being looked at by the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority for possible violations of consumer protection laws.
The management of Oasis declared that they wanted to provide fans a more equitable experience and steer clear of rehashing the issues seen in the UK. The pricing structure for the North American tour will be more clear, with ticket prices ranging from approximately $79 to $375, inclusive of booking costs.
