Starting November 2024, Ingersoll is teaming up with LiveTrains.com to broadcast live stream rail activity 24/7 at two local railway crossings. Aiming to become a top destination for railfans worldwide. The cameras, installed at 97 and 110 Mutual Street, capture trains from the Canadian National Railway, VIA Railway, and Ontario Southland Railway.

With over 800,000 monthly viewers, LiveTrains.com offers Ingersoll a unique way to engage the railfan community, creating both a global audience and a boost to local tourism. Railfans are train enthusiasts who travel for unique views and often share their experiences. Railfans can now enjoy Ingersoll’s rail scenes from anywhere.

London’s 2024 Resident Satisfaction Survey Results

The City of London’s 2024 Resident Satisfaction Survey, conducted by Forum Research Inc., sheds light on resident priorities, gaining data from 500 participants between September 16 and October 6.

The survey reveals that homelessness remains the top issue for Londoners, with 55% identifying it as the city’s most pressing concern. High interest rates and traffic congestion follow, with each selected by 19% of respondents.

Quality of life in London remains high, with 75% rating it as good or very good. Satisfaction with city services is also strong, with 74% expressing content with service quality. Positive experiences with city staff rose this year, with 92% of residents reporting pleasant interactions.

The city plans to use these findings to address key concerns and refine services in line with the 2023-2027 Strategic Plan. Mayor Josh Morgan emphasized the importance of the survey in guiding the Council’s decisions to focus on the issues that matter most to residents.

Updated Lineup for 2025 St. Thomas Sports Spectacular

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Davis Schneider and Olympic Gold Medallist Katie Vincent are set to appear at the 2025 St. Thomas Sports Spectacular on January 23 in St. Thomas at St. Anne’s Centre.

Known for his impressive MLB debut and his iconic mustache, Schneider captured fans’ hearts in 2023 with nine hits and two home runs in his first three games.

Katie Vincent, fresh from her gold win in the C-1 200m and bronze in the C-2 500m at the 2024 Paris Olympics, brings added athleticism.

The head table also includes NFL Hall of Famer Andre Reed, NHL Hall of Famer Adam Oates, Olympic relay gold medallist Brendan Rodney, Detroit Pistons legend Rick Mahorn, Shoresy actor Terry Ryan as the main speaker, and Toronto Star writer Mike Wilner as emcee.

This year’s event promises an exciting mix of sports legends and up-and-coming stars, with more names to be announced.

Kickoff Event: Lighting of the Lights in Victoria Park

Time: 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Start the season with the stunning display of 75,000 holiday lights in Victoria Park. Enjoy live music, holiday displays, food trucks, and a 360° photo booth.

Holly Jolly Holiday Market at Covent Garden Market

Dates: Fridays – Sundays, November 29 – December 22

Right after Lighting of the Lights, walk over to Covent Garden Market for the Holly Jolly Market. The tree lighting ceremony on November 29 at 7:45pm kicks off a month of vendors, cozy fire pits, and live music in Rotary Square.

  • Carousel Rides: From December 6-15th outside Canada Life Place.
