Urgent Call For Help: Salvation Army Faces Christmas Kettle Shortfall

The Salvation Army in London is urgently calling for help as its annual Christmas Kettle Campaign faces a significant shortfall in both donations and volunteer support. With a goal of raising $650,000, the campaign has so far raised less than half of that amount. Worse, 44% of kettle shifts remain unfilled.

The ongoing Canada Post strike has only added to the challenge, delaying 2.5 million direct mail appeals and causing a nationwide 50% drop in donations during the critical holiday season.

Without more volunteers and donations, vital local programs—such as community meals, homelessness prevention, and Christmas assistance for families—are at risk. This is a call for our community to come together and support those in need this holiday season.
