Justin Trudeau Steps Down as Prime Minister: What’s Next for Canada

Justin Trudeau has announced he’ll step down as Prime Minister once the Liberal leadership race concludes. After nearly a decade in power, Trudeau’s decision raises big questions: Who will take the reins of the Liberal Party? How will this shake up Canada’s political landscape?

Love him or not, Trudeau brought bold moves and plenty of controversy. From climate policy to the pandemic response, he’s been a hot topic for debate. So, is this the fresh start the Liberals need? Or will it leave a vacuum in leadership as the next election looms?

One thing’s for sure, Canada is bracing for change.

How to drop off your Christmas tree + sort your waste and recycling

Looking to get rid of your Christmas tree? You are able to drop them off at a City of London EnviroDepot at any of these dates:

  • Wednesday, January 8, 2025 | 12 noon to 5:00 p.m.

  • Saturday, January 11, 2025 | 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Sunday, January 12, 2025 | 12 noon to 5:00 p.m.

  • Wednesday, January 15, 2025 | 12 noon to 5:00 p.m.

Before disposing, make sure to remove all decorations, tinsel, garland, skirts and lights from your tree. (Bagged garbage is $2 per bag).

A creative way to use your tree is to put it in your backyard (if there’s space) and it can become a home for animals, like birds and squirrels!
