New Track From Billy Idol!

Billy Idol is set to hit the road this year with Joan Jett for the It’s a Nice Day to…Tour Again tour, but prior to that he’s releasing a new album and we have the first track!

The album is called Dream Into It and it comes out on April 25th. The really cool thing about it is he’s using this album to tell his life story in chronological order. He has a few friends joining him as well.  Dream Into It,  features duets with Joan Jett, Avril Lavigne and Alison Mosshart of the Kills.

Bill Idol said that the album came about as he was actually working on a documentay about his life (no release dates or info on that other than he’s working with filmaker Jonas Akerlund on it). He said:

“You couldn’t help but think about your life and all of the different elements. You know, the punk rock days, coming to America, going solo, becoming a bit of a drug addict…and then getting [sober, I] stopped being a drug addict.” 

Besides touring this summer, Idol is one of 14 that are nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class of 2025, making it the first time he’s been eligible for induction. It looks like 2025 could be a very big year for Billy Idol! Let us know what you think of his new song!
