- New School in Woodstock: The Thames Valley School Board approved an additional 8 million dollars to update the new school. The 25 million dollar school which was supposed to hold 660 students, will now be able to have 856 students in classrooms. The School will also hold a 5 room childcare facility. It will be completed for the 2026-27 year.
- Road Closure: Queen st between Wellington and Talbot will be closed Sunday, August 27th due to paving. The closure will take place between the hours of 5 pm and 6 am.
- Tacos Tacos Tacos: Covent Garden Market will be hosting London’s first ever taco festival. With over 20 vendors, it will be running all weekend for everyone to enjoy. There will be music, Lucha Libre, drinks, and of course, tacos. It will run from August 25th to the 27th in Rotary Square at Covent Garden Market. https://www.londontourism.ca/events/taco-fest
- France by 30: Team Canada kicked off the FIBA basketball tournament with a bang! They defeated France 95-65 in their first game of the group stage. Shai Gileous-Alexander had a big performance with 27 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 assists. Canada will take on Lebanon on Sunday.
