Here’s what you need to know for this weekend


 

  • Summer heats up again: Temperatures have been cool this past week, sitting in the low to mid 20s. According to the Weather Network‘s 7 day forecast, in the next few weeks, we will be bracing for another heat wave. Temperatures will be in the low 30s feeling like 40.
  • Labour Day Weekend is finally here: With the kids starting classes next week, Labour Day is always fun to spend one last weekend of summer with the family. If you’re looking for free activities, the City of London is offering several recreational activities for you and the family. From free ice skating to arts and crafts, to free swimming and more, there’s plenty to do this weekend at your local recreation center. Click here for a full list of activities.
  • Doug Ford stands up for hit Housing Minister:Ontario’s Integrity Commissioner has accused the Housing Minister Steven Clark of violating sections of the Integrity Act. Commissioner J. David Wake stated in a 166 page report that Clark failed to supervise former chief of staff Ryan Amato. In a press conference Premier Doug Ford stood by Minister Clark and said “I have confidence in Minister Clarke”. Ford also advised GreenBelt developer to “get shovels in the ground”
  • We’re F’N’ Back!: If you haven’t already got your tickets, there’s still some tickets left for the Guns N’ Roses concert at the Rogers Center in Toronto. They’ll be performing some of their smash hits like Sweet Child O’ Mine”, “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door”. And Paradise City”. Concert is this Sunday, September 3rd at 6 p.m.
