Celebrity Status – Box Office, Coachella, Britney Checks In, And Save The Date!

For Monday, April 13th:

Britney Spears has ‘voluntarily’ checked into rehab following her arrest on suspicion of DUI last month, her rep says. In a statement, the rep said  “Hopefully, this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life and she can get the help and support she needs.” She is due in court on May 4th

At the box office, “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” earnings are out of this world after its second weekend in theatres. The sequel added $69 million for a total of $308 million in North America and $629 million globally. “You, Me & Tuscany,” starring Halle Bailey and Rege-Jean Page of “Bridgerton” fame only managed fourth place with Project Hail Mary and The Drama in second and third.

At Coachella Saturday night, Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau watched Justin Bieber deliver what some are calling a sleepy performance, at one point sitting at a desk and playing YouTube videos… although during a sweeter moment in his set, he pulled up his own music videos and harmonized with his younger self. He did have a little help from some special guests, one of which was The Kid Laroi. Also making a surprise appearance — not with Bieber though — was Huntr/x, who came on stage with Katseye.

Coming to Netflix today, the documentary ‘Noah Kahan: Out of Body’ looks at his life following the breakout success of his debut album Stick Season.

And although they’ve kept most of their wedding plans under wraps, Page Six reported that the ‘save-the-dates’ have gone out for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding. Rumour has it they’re planning a New York wedding on July 3rd. And as with all rumours, I guess we shall see…
