After American Idol announced the top 11 last week, Carrie Underwood sent each one a gift and hand written note of personal congratulations. A couple of the recipients posted on social media how wonderful carrie is, how grateful they were and that they were gifted jewelry from Tiffany and Co. This week, the competition was narrowed down to just 9 contestants.

Aaron Carter’s mom has launched a GoFundMe to honor her late son. Jane Carter’s goal is to raise $85,000, the amount needed to pay for a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In order for a celebrity to be honored with a physical star, they also have to go through a nomination process. After struggles with both legal and mental health issues, Aaron Carter accidentally drowned after taking drugs in 2022 at age 34.

Bridgerton alum Phoebe Dynevor has joined the film adaptation of Emily Henry’s best-selling book, ‘Beach Read’. Patrick Schwarzenegger will play opposite her. Both are authors, staying in side by side beach houses for the summer; he likes to kill off his characters while she loves a happily ever after romance, and the two try swapping writing styles to break their writer’s block. No release date for the movie just yet.

At CinemaCon day 3, Steven Spielberg showed off the extraterrestrials from his movie ‘Disclosure Day.’ The sci-fi thriller beams into theaters on June 12… and in the first footage from ‘The Thomas Crown Affair’, Michael B. Jordan steals a priceless Van Gogh. This third version of the heist-romance-thriller hits theaters next March. Plus, Spaceballs is getting another sequel next April. This one is called ‘Spaceballs: The New One.’

Yesterday, Madonna announced she’ll release a new album, “Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II,” on July 3 with Warner Records — It’s a sequel, 21 years after the original.
