Celebrity Status – Taylor, Verity, And DT Jr.

In a New York Times article published Tuesday, Taylor Swift was named one of the 30 greatest living American songwriters. The article says, “It was all there at the very beginning for Taylor Swift: the first line of the first verse of her first song.” And she was just 16. Others on the list include Jay-Z, Stevie Wonder, Dolly Parton, Carole King, Bruce Springsteen, Lionel Richie, Willie Nelson and Kendrick Lamar, among many others.

Amazon confirmed to the Wall Street Journal that its had ‘internal discussions’ about a reboot of ‘The Apprentice.’ The original version of the show aired from 2004 to 2017, and Amazon says Donald Trump Jr. is being considered to lead this version. 

ICYMI, a teaser trailer dropped for ‘Verity,’ the movie adaptation of the Colleen Hoover novel starring Anne Hathaway, Josh Hartnett and Dakota Johnson. The movie will hit theaters on October 2nd.

Meanwhile, coming to Netflix today, ‘Man on Fire’ about a Special Forces veteran fighting to keep a teenage girl alive on the deadly streets of Rio de Janeiro. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars.
