Celebrity Status – Britney DUI, Olivia On SNL, New Movies, And Taylor’s New Tune

Following her arrest in March, Britney Spears was officially charged yesterday with driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. A representative tells EW that officials will offer her what’s called a “wet reckless” deal because she does not have a prior DUI and there was no crash or injury in the incident. She could end up serving just 12 months of probation.

At the movies this weekend, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci are back for ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2.’ Their characters are reuniting twenty years later to try to save Runway magazine. ***Side note: Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci received side by side stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday.

Also in theaters, Adam Scott of ‘Parks and Rec’ and ‘Severance’ stars in the horror movie ‘Hokum’… And the animated ‘Animal Farm’ is about an animal uprising based on the George Orwell novel of the same name. Jim Parsons is one of the voices in that one.

Netflix has the animated animal movie ‘Swapped’ featuring the voices of Michael B. Jordan, Juno Temple and Tracy Morgan… and premiering on streaming, ‘Wuthering Heights’ is on HBO Max.

Olivia Rodrigo just announced her Unraveled Tour, coming to Scotiabank Arena on Toronto October 26th and 27th. Presales are Tuesday and Wednesday next week, and her new album, “you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love” is out June 12th. AND Olivia will be on SNL this weekend, as both host and musical guest.

And Taylor Swift is counting down. To what, you ask? To her next single, a song that *may* be on the Toy Story 5 soundtrack… that’s the speculation. Look for it tomorrow at 2pm.
