Celebrity Status – MET, AI, Olivia And ‘Tony’

Original American Idol judges Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson returned to the show last night for a 20-year class reunion. To be clear, they were judges when the show began in 2002, but the theme for the night was “Class of 2006” and they were joined by former contestants including Kellie Pickler and Taylor Hicks. The final five contestants from the current season 24 were trimmed from five to three, getting ready for the big finale next week.

Olivia Rodrigo comes to Toronto October 26th and 27th at Scotiabank Arena. Tickets for her Unraveled Tour go on sale Thursday with presales today and tomorrow. A portion of proceeds from all ticket sales will go to Rodrigo’s ‘Fund 4 Good’, a global initiative that supports community-based nonprofits supporting women and girls.

The MET Gala was last night, and Blake Lively last attended the gala in 2022, when she and husband Ryan Reynolds served as co-chairs. Last night though, she made a surprise, late red carpet appearance, maybe as an act of celebration. Earlier in the day, after nearly two years of rumors, lawsuits, countersuits, leaked videos, and bombshell texts, she settled her long, drawn-out legal dispute with Justin Baldoni, her It Ends With us costar and director, just two weeks before it was set to go to trial.

The trailer for the Anthony Bourdain biopic comes out today. It’s simply called ‘Tony.’ No specific release date just yet, but potentially this August. Dominic Sessa play Bourdain in the summer of 1976, before he chose to pursue a culinary career.
