Celebrity Status – Survivor Spoiler And A Farewell To Colbert

For Thursday, May 21st:

Spoiler Alert! It took 50 seasons, but Survivor host Jeff Probst proved he’s not perfect. During last night’s live finale and reunion he announced to the millions watching who had lost in the final four competition. Just one problem: The competition in question hadn’t aired yet. So no, Rizo didn’t win it all, but who did? It was Aubry, and if you’ve followed Survivor over the years that was a bit of a redemption arc for her.

Meanwhile, Mike White, the creator of ‘The White Lotus’, was a contestant this seaon (voted out 5th) and he popped in via video call last night on the finale to say that contestants Charlie and Kamilla will get to be part of his show’s fourth season, alongside the main cast, including Laura Dern, Steve Coogan, Heather Graham, Rosie Perez and more.

Tonight, Stephen Colbert will host the late Show for the last time. His 8 siblings will be there to watch his final farewell, but then what’s next for Stephen Colbert? He and his family will attend his brother’s wedding in Washington, D.C. tomorrow for starters, and then Colbert is heading to Middle-earth… sort of. He’s cowriting a Lord of the Rings movie with Peter Jackson, the forthcoming The Lord of the Rings: Shadow of the Past.

As he prepares for the July release of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, Matt Damon is in talks to star in the follow up to Everything Everywhere All at Once from duo Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, according to Entertainment Weekly.

And Quinta Brunson of Abbott Elementary is developing a Betty Boop film. She will also play the iconic character in the movie.
