Celebrity Status: Batman, Rocky, And G.I. Joe

Robert Pattinson is finally back as Batman in the first camera test footage from Matt Reeves “The Batman Part 2,” in theaters February 18, 2028. The sequel’s supporting cast includes  Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan.

“The Batman Part 2” was originally supposed to open Oct. 2, 2026 before Warner Bros. delayed it to  Oct. 1, 2027. Moving the film to February 2028 will give Reeves additional time in post-production.

“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” has set its Season 18 premiere for August 17 at 9pm ET  on FX, FXX, and Hulu. 

Unlike the previous three seasons, Season 18 will consist of 10 episodes rather than eight. Season 18 continues the show’s record-breaking streak as the longest-running live-action comedy series of all time, a record it set with its 15th season in 2021.

Ever wonder how Sylvester Stallone became Rocky? Peter Farrelly’s upcoming biographical drama “I Play Rocky” will answer the question as “Grand Army” actor Anthony Ippolito takes on the role of Stallone in this behind-the-scenes dramatization of the making of the classic 1976 sports drama.

The official synopsis for “I Play Rocky” from Amazon MGM reads: “The film tells the true story of Sylvester Stallone and his unshakable belief that he wasn’t just meant to write Rocky, he was meant to be Rocky Balboa.”

Emmy winner Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso) has been set to star opposite Jason Statham in David Leitch’s action-comedy Jason Statham Stole My Bike, which has been filming since June in the UK and Malta.

This is the first revealed casting for the film following our initial break about the Statham project back in February. It reunites the actress with director Leitch after they worked together on The Fall Guy.

Statham reunites with Deadpool 2 and Bullet Train director Leitch after they teamed on Universal’s box office hit Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but it’ll see Statham “in the role of a lifetime, playing global action superstar Jason Statham“.

After being tapped to write the next ‘G.I. Joe’ movie at Paramount, Danny McBride is now set to make his directorial debut on a new feature film on the classic Hasbro toy franchise.
