Celebrity Status – Bryan A, Blue Jays, Minions, Monsters And More (oh My!)

Bryan Adams released a new single on Canada Day… called 51st State. But make no mistake, he is absolutely NOT saying that we should be. Fans will hear the new tune in his show this summer. He’s touring 13 Canadian cities this summer including Hamilton’s TD Coliseum on Aug. 28th and at Canada Life Place in London Aug. 29th.

‘The Blue Jays Way’ is a seven-part Sportsnet docuseries set to premiere this month, celebrating the 50th season of the Toronto Blue Jays. It chronicles the team’s history from its 1977 debut right up to the 2025 World Series. Look for it on Netflix soon.

At the movies, Minions & Monsters opened in theatres yesterday in some places. The Minions are looking for a new villainous leader. It’s a journey that takes them to Hollywood.

Josh Gad has signed on to the Ocean’s 11 prequel movie, joining Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper. At CinemaCon this spring, Margot said it was Danny Ocean’s parents that taught him everything he knows, saying, “You’ll see them in their prime pulling off an epic heist at the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix.” Look for it next June.

In other headlines, Frankie Muniz aka Malcolm in the Middle, announced his divorce from wife Paige Price this week after 7 years of marriage.

And Danny Glover of Lethal Weapon fame revealed that he has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease.
