Celebrity Status – Ella Langley, Kelly Clarkson, Brad Pitt And The Weeknd

For Tuesday, August 11th:

Kelly Clarkson suffered a bit of a wardrobe mishap during her Las Vegas show after a gust of wind nearly had its way with her crop top onstage over the weekend. She did have a bra on so not really a wardrobe malfunction, per se. Kelly has only two more dates left in her Vegas residency, with the final shows scheduled for this Friday and Saturday.

At his concert in Stockholm over the weekend, footage of The Weeknd shows him hinting that he doesn’t plan to change his name. The Weeknd ‘s real name is Abel Tesfaye, and he has said for the past few years that he would drop his stage name, but maybe not. He said to the crowd, “I tested retirement a little bit, and I don’t like the way it feels.” His “After Hours Til Dawn” tour of Europe continues through Sept. 6th.

Last week, Ella Langley’s ‘Choosin’ Texas’ was tied with three other songs that had 16 weeks at No. 1: Morgan Wallen‘s “Last Night,” Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito” and “One Sweet Day” from Mariah Carey and Boys II Men. But this week, it’s in its 17th Week at No. 1, the song is all alone in fourth place on the All-Time Hot 100 streaks. Will Ella Langley get past Mariah Carey‘s 22 weeks at No. 1 with “All I Want for Christmas is You”…? I guess we shall see in the next 5 weeks! 

And Brad Pitt is in Esquire Magazine this month, and he revealed that he is “back off the wagon” after seven years. But he didn’t fall off the wagon… this seems more intentional. He said, “I can have a few. But I can’t have a lot. I have to be professional about it.” Hope that works for him!
