Celebrity Status – New Box Office Champ, Gracie Abrams And RIP Lloyd…

Lloyd Robertson, the “trusted” voice of CTV National News for 35 years, has died at the age of 92. He began his nearly 60-year career in his hometown of Stratford, Ontario and he was the first journalist inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame in 2007.

The people that count the movie money are now saying “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” had the biggest debut weekend of all time at the North American box office. Updated numbers are coming in at $360 million, $3 Million more than the Avengers: End Game debut weekend in 2019. The two movies are the only ones to ever surpass the $300 Million mark. 

Gracie Abrams is slamming rumors that her relationship with boyfriend Paul Mescal is affecting her career. Abrams and Mescal began dating in 2024 and live together in London. The implication is that since she’s happy, her songwriting suffers. She told Rolling Stone that the rumors reminded her why she stays off social media.

A recent episode in the Instagram series ‘Carversations’ features Salma Hayek and her 18-yr-old Daughter Valentina… and as the name implies, they are driving around talking about stuff, in their case driving around Barcelona and discussing social media, travel, fashion and more.

And Dermot Mulroney is leaving Chicago Fire after two seasons on the show, with his character wrapping up his storyline in the upcoming Season 15.
