Celebrity Status – Bridgerton Prequel, Lots Of Movies And Hallmark’s Christmas Countdown

Lady Whistledown put out a missive yesterday to declare some most exciting news, announcing an upcoming Bridgerton prequel series. It will chronicle the romance of a young Violet (whom we know as mama Bridgerton) and her then future husband Viscount Edmund Bridgerton… the love match that started it all! There is no official release date just yet.

At the movies this weekend, ‘Other Mommy’ stars Jessica Chastain as a mom whose family is terrorized by a paranormal being that looks just like her. Plus, Mahershala Ali stars as a devoutly religious hit man in the action-thriller ‘Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother’. Also in theatres, ‘The Social Reckoning’
follows Mikey Madison as a young engineer who blew the whistle on Facebook’s secrets. Jeremy Allen White is Jeff Horowitz, the reporter who helped her, and Jeremy Strong plays Mark Zuckerberg.

Coming to theatres AND Netflix today, Ben Affleck directs and stars in ‘Animals’ as an LA mayoral candidate whose son is kidnapped. Kerry Washington and Gillian Anderson also star. On Apple TV today, ‘Matchbox The Movie’ (yes, Matchbox cars) stars John Cena and Jessica Biel… and ‘The Housemaid’ makes its streaming debut on HBO Max

In case you need to plan your holiday TV schedule…buckle up! Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas returns next Friday to W Network and STACKTV, running for over 10 consecutive weeks. It features 34 movie premieres, one TV special and two returning series.

“The Joe Rogan Experience” was the No. 1 most-listened-to podcast last year. On Spotify, it has been the most-followed podcast since the partnership began in 2020. Now, he’s set to receive “an estimated $250 million” over the term of the new contract.
