Celebrity Status – Star Wars Superbowl, Halftime Shows And Buble’s New Show

For Wednesday, October 21st:

Jay-Z is rumoured to be doing the halftime show for the Superbowl this season. Not confirmed yet, but it’s everywhere. And for the US Thanksgiving football fun, U2 will be performing the night before taking the stage for the halftime on Thanksgiving Eve during the Packers vs. Rams game.

Meanwhile, Disney will air a “Star Wars”-themed animated telecast of Super Bowl LXI on Feb. 14th. Titled “Star Wars Funday Football,” the broadcast will use NFL player-tracking technology to recreate every play of the game in real time, transforming the players into animated avatars. C-3PO will play a major role, with other “Star Wars” characters making appearances throughout the game. Look for it on Disney+

Christina Applegate revealed on her MeSsy podcast with actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who has MS, that she recently was evaluated with new technology and found out her MS was misdiagnosed in 2021. It sounds like good news but, unfortunately, it means she and doctors still don’t know what has caused her poor health in the past 5 years or more.

Michael Bublé and Drew Scott of Property Brothers are both part owners of the Vancouver Giants of the WHL. The two are teaming up and hoping to score big with their new Prime Video series Hometown Giants as it goes behind the scenes of the 2025-26 season. Both are big hockey fans, and fun fact: Bublé even has an indoor rink at his home in Burnaby, BC.
