Celebrity Status – The Chicks Deja Vu,

For Friday, October 16th:

The Chicks are currently on their Not Ready to Make Nice tour for the 20th anniversary of their Taking the Long Way album. In a callback to her 2003 criticism of then president George W. Bush, lead singer Natalie Maines recently said at a New York show, “Now we’re ashamed the president of the United States is from the United States.” The White House responded with a statement saying Maines has “Trump Derangement Syndrome and a peanut-sized brain.”

At the movies this weekend, Austin Abrams fights for his life after being swallowed by a whale in ‘Whalefall’… Daisy Edgar-Jones portrays literary icon Elinor Dashwood in ‘Sense and Sensibility’… and Noah Centineo, Fifty Cent and others star in ‘Street Fighter’, based on the video game. One review said it knocks itself unconscious… so it’s either really good or really bad.

Grey’s Anatomy had its season premiere on ABC last night and The Diplomat season 4 premiered yesterday on Netflix, and today Netflix debuts the documentary ‘Norm: The Tale of Norm Macdonald’. Also on TV today, ‘Tis the Season for Setups’ is one of the many movies that will make up the Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas. Look for it to start today on the W Network in Canada.

Harry Potter: Visions of Magic arrives in Toronto today… it’s a self-guided, family-friendly interactive art experience, located in on Downsview Airport’s Hanover Rd…. and everyone gets a wand!
