Tucker Wetmore Win ACM Best New Male Artist

Tucker Wetmore was surprised onstage during the final night of his three-show, sold-out run at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London, England, and was officially crowned ACM Best New Male Artist.

This marks the first time in recent history the Academy of Country Music has sent a trophy internationally.

The rising star was surprised when Thomas Rhett interrupted the show with a video message prior to Wetmore’s mother, Sia, presenting him the award onstage.

Visibly moved by his win, Wetmore hugged his mother in gratitude while accepting his award.

Wetmore will perform live at the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards, on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 8 p.m. from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

If anyone can interupt @Tuck’s show, it’s his own mom and #ACMawards winner @Thomas Rhett. They surprised him onstage tonight in London with the news that he won his FIRST ACM Award for New Male Artist of the Year! 🏆🥹
