Brad Paisley is rallying fans against a proposed 70,000-square-foot data center planned next to Nashville Zoo property.

In a social media video, Paisley called the DC Blox facility “an enormous monstrosity” and “an absolute nightmare scenario.”

He urged supporters to sign a petition that has gathered nearly 313,000 signatures as of Monday morning.

“It doesn’t belong there,” Paisley stated, citing concerns about power and water availability.

The singer emphasized the zoo’s importance, calling it “one of the sources of joy in this city” and “one of the top zoos in the world.”

Nashville Zoo CEO Rick Schwartz expressed worries about potential light, noise, and pollution impacts on the facility’s 3,000 animals.

The data center would be located in Grassmere Business Park, directly adjacent to the zoo grounds.

DC Blox responded by promising waterless cooling designs, noise management, and light shielding.
