Kenny Chesney Reflects On Virgin Islands As His Personal Refuge

The country superstar, who has owned property in St. Thomas for over two decades, explained that the islands offer him peace away from Nashville’s music industry pressures.
“It’s where I go to recharge and remember why I fell in love with music in the first place.”
He credits the Virgin Islands’ laid-back culture and natural beauty with inspiring many of his hit songs, including “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems.”
The singer has been a longtime advocate for the territory, particularly following Hurricane Irma’s devastation in 2017. Chesney organized relief efforts and donated millions to recovery initiatives.
He continues supporting local communities through his Love for Love City Foundation.
