Owen Riegling Takes Home Three CMAO Awards
June 1, 2026 6:45 am| The Country Music Association of Ontario (CMAOntario) held 14th annual CMAOntario Awards on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Port Credit Memorial Arena. Owen Riegling came out on top with three trophies, while Sacha, Jessica Sevier, and James Baker Band secured two wins each. For the first time in CMAOntario history, there was a tie for Breakthrough Artist of the Year with Tyler Lorette and Jessica Sevier sharing the title. The CMAOntario Awards Show closed out the CMAOntario Festival & Awards Weekend with performances by Owen Riegling, Sully Burrows, Olivia Mae Graham, Jessica Sevier, Elyse Saunders, School House, Tyler Lorette, Cory Marks, Les Rats d’Swompe, and the CMAOntario house band, The Western Swing Authority. | Meanwhile, on Saturday, May 30, on the cusp of the Bonfire concert as part of the CMAOntario Festival, Port Credit experienced a community-wide power outage, causing a delay of the event. Artists and audiences alike improvised with an outdoor concert on the steps of the Port Credit Memorial Arena under a full moon. |
