Ella Langley’s ‘Choosin’ Texas’ Sets Historic Chart Record

Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” has made Billboard Hot Country history, spending 15 weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100.

The milestone surpasses Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” and Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together,” making it the longest-running non-holiday song by a woman to hold the top position.

Langley now ties Harry Styles’ “As It Was.” She trails only Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas” at 22 weeks.

Langley could still surpass Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” at 16 weeks and Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” at 19 weeks. Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You” sits at Number Two, with Stella Lefty’s “Boston” climbing to Number Three.
