Kenny Chesney Mourns Death Of Beloved Dog

Kenny Chesney is grieving the loss of his goldendoodle, Poncho, who died at 15.

“We lost Poncho at 5:15 this morning and my heart is broken but yet so full ’cause I know he gave us all he had,” Chesney wrote on social media.

The singer shared photos of the two surfing, boating, and watching sunsets together, including a memorable moment when Poncho joined him onstage at a Chicago stadium show in 2024.

A friend originally brought Poncho to Chesney as a puppy, saying, “Here Kenny, you need to learn to attach to something.”

Chesney described Poncho as a “constant companion” with “swagger” who brought “joy, energy, light and fun” into his life alongside longtime partner Mary Nolan.
