Zach Bryan Opens Up About Sobriety In Interview With Matthew McConaughey

Bryan described a solo motorcycle trip from New York City to Los Angeles, during which he spent nights drinking at local bars. The turning point came outside a Seattle truck stop.
“I go into this Pilot and I grab a 40 Budweiser and I’m sitting on the curb…I feel emptier than when I left. Quitting drinking has been really great. I enjoy writing again, I haven’t felt this since I was 17,.”
The interview coincides with his new EP, Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs.
