Remember When Alan Jackson Protested The ACMs By Having His Drummer Play With No Drumsticks?

With the ACMs this past Sunday, it got us thinking about the time Alan Jackson got very upset with the ACM’s.

In 1994, the Academy wanted Alan to perform his song with a backing track.

Well, Alan is old school, and he hated that idea, but he was contractually obligated to perform, so his way of protesting was sending out his drummer to play the song WITH NO DRUMSTICKS.

The drummer was just flailing away up there, no drumsticks, playing the best pre-recorded song of his life.
