What Is Burnout? This Week We Talk About What It Is And What To Do About It
June 10, 2026 10:00 amThis week we catch up with Jenny and Tina from Life’s Seasons Care & Support and chat about something a lot of people might be dealing with.
Burnout. It’s different than feeling exhausted or overwhelmed.
“You can’t rest it away.”
Real burnout is your system saying “I no longer feel safe or I no longer feel resourced enough to keep functioning the way that I was.”
“It affects your energy, your emotions, your thoughts, it’s not just exhaustion. It’s a shift in your baseline functioning”
- Feeling emotionally flat or detached
- Loss of meaning or purpose/ even in things you care about
- brain fog or reduced cognitive capacity
- increased irritability/ sensitivity
- physical symptoms – sleep issues, headaches, or the biggest tell “I don’t recover the way I used to, no matter how much I rest”
Listen to our full conversation HERE and find out how you can help yourself fight through burnout.
Learn to check in with yourself. It’s more about recalibrating. Moving from the mentality of pushing through, to understanding what you and your body needs.
“Burnout is not a personal failure. Often, it’s a mismatch between demand and capacity over time.”
“Importantly, if rest isn’t working the way that it used to, that’s not weakness. It’s basically your body saying ‘hey, we just need a different kind of care right now.”
If you are feeling like you might be burned out, reach out to Life’s Seasons Care & Support. There’s help.
“There’s nothing that says you’re doing better in life if you can do it alone. We’re made for connection. We’re made for belonging.”
