Thomas Rhett Plays New Music On SNL
March 4, 2019 6:25 amThomas Rhett has released his brand new single, called “Look What God Gave Her,” the first release from his upcoming studio album, Center Point Road, due out on May 31st. The song was released just before he made his debut appearance as musical guest on NBC’s Saturday Night Live over the weekend, where he performed the song live.
Thomas said,
“I think I played this song 2,000 times in a month after we first wrote it. It makes me want to dance. It makes me want to move. And to me, the song really is a celebration of how awesome my wife is. I know I’ve done that in the past, but I’ve never really done it in an uptempo way.”
Thomas co-wrote “Look What God Gave Her” alongside his hit-making father, Rhett Akins as well as Julian Bunetta, John Ryan and J Cash.
“’Look What God Gave Her,’ to me is a song about my beautiful wife, inside and out. How amazing she is, how funny she is, how caring, how much of a great mom she is. And I think you can dance to it, I think you’re gonna love it. I can’t wait for you to hear it.”
Thomas also played a new song called “Don’t Threaten Me With A Good Time” that features Little Big Town.
Thomas will wrap up his Life Changes tour this spring with a coast-to-coast series of shows in Canada. He’ll kick off his headlining Very Hot Summer tour with Dustin Lynch, Russell Dickerson and Rhett Akins on select dates on May 17th in Spokane, WA.
