Carrie Underwood Excited To Be A Part Of Soundtrack
April 16, 2019 5:30 amCarrie Underwood’s latest hit, “Love Wins,” is featured on the soundtrack of the new film, Breakthrough, which stars Chrissy Metz, Josh Lucas and Topher Grace. Carrie was out on the road promoting her latest album, Cry Pretty, when the movie people came calling.
“They sent us the movie to watch ‘cause I definitely wanted to get to see it before I could say yes, I want to be a part of that, and the second it was over, I said, ‘Yes. I want to be a part of this.’ It’s such an inspiring movie. I just think it something that everybody will be able to relate to in some way or another, and it’s such an inspiring film. I cried my way through it. I was bawling about 10 minutes in (laughs), in a good way, but, yeah, I’m just always happy when I can be part of things that can inspire and I was honoured that they wanted to use ‘Love Wins’ in the movie.”
The film’s soundtrack also features songs by Maddie & Tae, Lauren Alaina, Mickey Guyton, Darius Rucker and Adam Hambrick, among others.
Breakthrough arrives in theatres on April 17th.
Carrie joined Chrissy Metz, Lauren Alaina, Mickey Guyton and Maddie & Tae for a performance of “I’m Standing With You” during the ACM Awards in Las Vegas earlier this week.
