Thomas Rhett’s New Album Is Out
May 31, 2019 12:17 pmThomas Rhett’s new album, Center Point Road is out. The project includes his latest hit single, “Look What God Gave Her,” along with duets with Kelsea Ballerini, Jon Pardi and Little Big Town.
Thomas co-wrote and co-produced all 16 songs on Center Point Road. The album was named after the street on which Thomas grew up just outside of Nashville, and he said his life experiences on that street shaped this album.
“Yeah, Center Point Road, basically, is the street I grew up on 20 minutes north of Nashville in a little town called Hendersonville. A lot of people think that I’m from Georgia because my dad’s from Georgia, and technically I was born in Georgia, but we moved to San Antonio when I was two and then moved to Nashville when I was three, cause my dad signed a record deal in Nashville in ’95. But Center Point Road is a little street that I grew up on and when we wrote the song ‘Center Point Road,’ it was kind of this looking back song of like all the things that you cared about when you’re growin’ up and now the things that you don’t care about, your successes, your failures, all your firsts, all your lasts, and all that kind of happened in this little town.”
Thomas has already been incorporating several of the new songs into the set list on his Very Hot Summer Tour, which will resume after next week’s CMA Fest. He will perform on the main stage at Nissan Stadium in Nashville on Friday, June 7th, as well as a special acoustic Center Point Road album release event on Saturday, June 8th at Bridgestone Arena.
