Luke Combs Adjusting To Fame
August 19, 2019 5:30 amLuke Combs went from zero to 100 with the release of his first chart-topping single, “Hurricane,” back in 2016.
He followed that up with five more consecutive Number One hits, setting all kinds of musical records in the process.
Luke’s in the midst of his sold-out headlining Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour, and while he’s loving the way fans have embraced him and his music, he said he still struggles with being famous.
“The hardest part has definitely been getting used to the fame part of it. I didn’t love to go out to the bars or I didn’t love to do this or that. I just loved writing songs and I loved playing those songs for people who loved to hear ’em, so definitely coping with the fame has been the hardest part but definitely the positives outweigh the negatives a thousand times over.”
Luke will release his yet-untitled sophomore album on November 8th. In June, he released a five-song EP called The Prequel, his first new music since his 2017 debut album, The One’s For You.
