Granger Smith Releasing Two Albums This Year
September 30, 2020 10:24 amGranger Smith’s new album, Country Things, Volume 1, was released on Friday, September 25th.
The eight-song project features six songs co-written by Granger, and includes a guest appearance by the singer’s alter ego, Earl Dibbles Jr.
Granger said he opted to release two projects this year with fewer songs because he couldn’t bring himself to eliminate any of the final 16.
“I had cut it down, the number of songs, as much as I could and I ended up with 16. There was too many stories I felt like needed to be told and I also felt like 16 songs was a lot to consume at once without missing over some stuff that might take you a second listen so it seemed to be a good idea to divide it in half but only have two months apart where the second volume came out at the end of November and hopefully people could digest that better.”
Country Things, Volume 1 features Granger’s latest single, “That’s Why I Love Dirt Roads.”
