Jackson Dean Has A Word To Live By
April 5, 2023 7:00 pmSo much happened in the first year of Jackson Dean’s career, including touring with artists like Brooks & Dunn and Lee Brice, making his Grand Ole Opry debut, and taking his debut single, “Don’t Come Lookin’,” to number one on the charts.
Jackson’s second year is shaping up to be quite a ride, currently opening for Blake Shelton’s Back to the Honky Tonk Tour, releasing his Live from the Ryman album on April 14th and scheduled to open for Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Parker McCollum and Jon Pardi in the second half of 2023.
When Jackson thinks about the road he’s on, a certain word comes to mind that is guiding him on his journey.
“Words to live by. If I was to choose one to live by, it would be steady. That was somethin’ my dad taught me, momentum. If you keep your momentum, you’ll always be moving forward. When I was learnin’ how to ride four-wheelers and what not – I mean, I grew up ridin’ Appalachia, Kentucky, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado – but when I was learnin’ how to ride, keep your momentum and you’ll stay steady. I’d really like to focus on being steady in all things. I’ve had a bit of time of being wild and crazy, at least being out of somebody else’s control, but I think I’ll be taking a different approach this year, of being steady.”
Jackson just announced that he’ll release his “Live at the Ryman” album, featuring eight songs, including his latest single, “Fearless (Live at the Ryman)” on April 14th.
