Beyoncé Unveils Cover Art For Country Album
March 20, 2024 8:45 amBeyoncé officially unveiled the cover art for her new album.
In it, she’s sitting side-saddled on a white horse, with a red, white, and blue outfit on, holding the American flag.
But it’s her caption of the post that’s really making waves.
“I feel honored to be the first Black woman with the number one single on the Hot Country Songs chart. My hope is that years from now, the mention of an artist’s race, as it relates to releasing genres of music, will be irrelevant. The album has been over five years in the making. It was born out of an experience years ago where I did not feel welcomed.”
No one knows for sure, but people are guessing that it was when she got blowback from a surprise performance with The Chicks at the 2016 CMA Awards.
But it sounds like she has some treats in store.
“I have a few surprises on the album, and have collaborated with some brilliant artists who I deeply respect.”
And she closed the post with the mother of all mic drops by saying,
“This ain’t a country album, this is a Beyoncé album. This is Act 2: COWBOY CARTER, and I am proud to share it with you.”
“Act 2: Cowboy Carter” will be released on March 29th.
