“Chattahoochee” is one of Alan Jackson’s biggest hits, but he was reluctant to put it out because he didn’t know if people would relate.

Even Waylon Jennings asked him, quote, “What the hell is a Chattahoochee?”

Well, it’s a river on the border of Georgia and Alabama.

But the song raises an even bigger question… what’s a HOOCHIE COOCHIE, as in, “It gets hotter than a hoochie coochie”???

Well, here’s the answer, directly from songwriter Jim McBride: A hoochie-coochie is . . . a county fair strip show.
