Post Malone Makes His Opry Debut
August 16, 2024 8:45 amPost Malone just performed for the first time on the Grand Ole Opry stage, and it looks like he had a blast.
But he had to be on his best behaviour because the Opry has a strict “no swearing” rule.
Post has a bit of a mouth on him, so it was a tough challenge, but he seems to have made it out mostly unscathed.
At one point he asked the crowd, quote,
“Is everyone having fun tonight? I’m not gonna cuss. I’m having the freaking best time of my life.”
But then Posty thought about it, and turned to someone offstage and asked,
“Have I cussed already? Just once? Nah, just one is fine, I think. I’m on my best behaviour tonight ladies and gentlemen.”
Apparently his one slip all night was when he was telling the crowd how much he loved them, and said “Keep kicking [butt]”.
Saying the A-word is a grievous crime, so I hope the Opry was able to forgive him.
Post Malone was joined by an array of country legends during his Opry debut, playing with Vince Gill, John Michael Montgomery, Lainey Wilson, Brad Paisley, and the War and Treaty during his 7-song set.
