Clay Walker Will Play Randy Travis In Biopic

Randy Travis is getting his own movie, and another big country star is playing him… Clay Walker.

They announced it at the Grand Ole Opry.

The title is “Forever and Ever, Amen” after his 1987 hit and 2019 memoir.

Clay is 55, so he’ll play him in his older years, with younger actors also stepping in.

Randy was 54 when a stroke robbed him of his voice in 2013.

They plan to start filming this summer in Nashville and North Carolina and say it’ll hit theatres sometime next spring.

Meanwhile, Randy just added 30 more dates to his More Life Tour.

He’ll wrap up the initial run in May and head back out on the road in August. James Dupré will continue to perform with him at those gigs.
