An Ohio man is warning others after he was tricked by an AI-generated video impersonating country singer Jelly Roll.

Ronnie Flint says he sent $70 in gift cards for a fake $50,000 prize.

He said he was just going about his day when he got a message on Facebook telling him he had won $50,000 on a brand new car.

Then the account sent Flint a video of what appears to be Jelly Roll, asking him to cover shipping to get his prizes.

He was not convinced, but then Flint received a second video, which he says surprised him.

“When they sent the second video where he actually said my full name, that got me. I was like, wow, it really is Jelly Roll. He said my name.”

Shocked by the realistic footage, he reported the scam to the police and is warning others to be cautious of similar AI schemes.
