One Of Kenny Chesney’s First Shows Was At Peyton Manning’s Apartment

Did you know that Kenny Chesney once played a show at Peyton Manning’s apartment in Knoxville?

This was obviously way before he was selling out stadiums for No Shoes Nation.

Peyton just posted a rare throwback picture of the show in celebration of Kenny’s recent induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

He captioned it:  “Congrats to my good friend Kenny Chesney on being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.  Long way from playing my college apartment party in 1998.”

At the time, Kenny was a Knoxville native and rising artist who had just sung the National Anthem at a UT game.  After the performance, Kenny and Peyton struck up a friendship that’s lasted almost three decades.

And you can tell the photo is old, because it looks like Kenny still has hair.
