Luke Combs Spent His Last $200 To Master “Hurricane”
February 6, 2026 4:20 amBefore Luke Combs made it big, he spent his last $200 in his bank account to master his song “Hurricane”.
At the time, he’d recorded multiple songs, but could only afford to master one.
“So I decided to do “Hurricane”, put it out and it sells 10,000 copies the first week.”
Luke was able to use the money he earned from that to master the rest of his songs and pitch the completed album to record labels, and the rest is history.
In other Luke news, he had to cancel his scheduled performance at tonight’s Madden Bowl celebrity gaming event in San Francisco, citing family priorities as his wife Nicole prepares for their third baby’s arrival.
“So sorry to miss y’all at Madden Bowl, but family always comes first. Have a great time,” Combs posted on his Instagram Story.
Zach Bryan was announced as a replacement for Combs.
Luke married Nicole Hocking on August 1, 2020, and the couple has two sons: Tex Lawrence, born June 2022, and Beau Lee, born August 2023.
Last November, Combs hinted at potential names of their third child.
