LANCO survived a dangerous bus fire early Monday morning in Pella, Iowa, after performing in Des Moines.

The band stopped due to blizzard conditions around 4 a.m. while travelling to Nashville.

Local police transported band members plus opening acts Willie Tate and Dawson Anderson to nearby hotels.

Their bus driver stayed behind but woke to find the vehicle engulfed in flames. He escaped with minor injuries while the bus was completely destroyed.

Brandon Lancaster told Billboard that some instruments were lost, though their equipment trailer survived.

“It’s been a surreal 18 hours honestly, and we are so thankful that everyone on board is safe and sound. I can’t imagine what would have happened if we all decided to sleep on the bus. I know God was watching over us.”

The ACM Award-winning group remains in Pella with their next show scheduled March 26th in St. Augustine, Florida.
