[Listen] Morgan Surprises A Young Country Singer By Playing Her Song On The Radio

Maddy McKenzie from Oakland Ontario is a singer/songwriter who began writing music at age 15. Maddy says her songs are a “snapshot of important memories and memories” from her life.

For Maddy, music is a way to express herself, but she plays all her music by ear because she can’t see the notes. She has limited central core vision, and experiences light sensitivity and headaches daily as a result of her condition.

The Sunshine foundation (whose main goal is to fulfill custom-made dreams for Canadian kids living with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses) reached out to Windsor’s Country to see if we would possibly  play her song on the radio. That is Maddy’s DREAM.

Listen to Morgan revealing to Maddy that Windsor’s Country WAS going to play her song.

See Maddy at this Thursday Spitfires game where she sings the National Anthem!
