[LISTEN] The Perfect Goodbye: Nick From THANASI’S Explain Why They’re Are Closing After 4 Decades

The blue and pink sign with white Grecian columns on Tecumseh road East, the THANASI’S GREEK RESTAURANT sign is something we’re so used to seeing in the city that it almost blends into the background.

The community was saddened to learned that after 41 years, the restaurant is closing their doors.
Not because of the Pandemic, but NICK PONTIKIS and his aging staff are retiring.

While our collective hearts broke, we thank the family and amazing staff for feeding us (the potatoes, the rice!) and helping create memories that will last a lifetime.

Grab some tissues, I chatted with the gracious Nick this morning.
