With time on their hands and anxiety rising, some people turned to knitting when we were on lockdown.
A local librarian said her inspiration for the knitting program was her Mother, who became an avid crafter after retiring.

Once popular in the ā€˜70s, crochet has officially made its comeback with designers and boutiques alike reinventing the classic technique and offering a fresh new take.Ā

KATIE VLANICH, a Librarian from Budimir Library in South Windsor says knitting is the 21st century version of yoga. KatieĀ explains how her new found enthusiasm for knit-one-purl-one takes her mind away from worrying or multi-tasking. And, if you’re looking to get your teens off their phones, well you need both hands for this hobby.
