Ella Langley’s Signature Bangs Came From ‘Bad’ Haircut
April 15, 2026 5:30 amElla Langley disclosed the origin of her distinctive fringe during a new appearance on Theo Von’s podcast.
The 26-year-old performer explained her trademark curly brown bangs resulted from a DIY hair disaster.
“I have a bad tendency to cut my own hair. Most of the time it goes bad — that’s how I got bangs in the first place.”
She described cutting her fringe minutes before a performance, creating an awkward piece sticking upward.
When preparing cover art for her debut record, creative director Caylee Robillard responded negatively to the look.
“So I just told her full send it with the bangs. I don’t think I can ever change it. It changed my life a little bit, I would say,”
Langley shared. The singer releases her new album Dandelion today, followed by The Dandelion Tour through August.
Meanwhile, Langley released her new album “Dandelion” last week.
It begins with her simply singing an old standard, “Froggy Went a-Courtin'”. Then she ends the album singing the ending of it.
