Dolly Parton Laid To Rest With A Private Funeral

Dolly Parton has officially been laid to rest with a private funeral with immediate family on Friday. 

Her niece Lainey Parton confirmed the news with a tribute of photos with her “Aunt Granny”.

“This is a really hard post for me to make.  I wanted to wait until after my granny was laid to rest yesterday before I tried to put any of this into words. Because she couldn’t have kids of her own, she always made us feel like we were hers.  She loved us that way, and I’ll forever be grateful for that.”

Woodlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum also shared her official obituary.

In other Dolly news, the Grand Ole Opry paid tribute to Dolly on Saturday with the entire night in her honour. 

There were performances from Carly Pearce, Jelly Roll, Dolly’s niece Jada Star, and Channing Wilson.
