Brad Paisley Inducts Taylor Swift Into The Nashville Songwriters Hall Of Fame

Taylor Swift is officially the youngest person to ever be inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Lainey Wilson performed an acoustic cover of “Love Story,” and Brad Paisley inducted her.

Taylor joked that she was surprised to see Brad because they’ve been estranged since 2007, when he took a tour prank too far.  He filled her tour bus with thousands of crickets.

She said she couldn’t sleep for months because of the chirping, but that they’re all good now because of his introduction.

Elsewhere in Taylor’s acceptance speech, she called Nashville the place that she went to in her middle school daydreams.  She was 14 when she moved there from Pennsylvania.

“It’s not lost on me how crazy this is.  I will cherish it forever because Nashville is the place that honed and polished the thing about myself and the thing about my life that I am the most proud of and the most passionate about.”
